Preparing for your shoot
Make sure to take extra-good care of your skin the week before your shoot. Having moisturized, smooth skin will make it easier to remove of the glitter afterward. You may want to consider shaving or waxing the area you would like glittered if there is an excess amount of hair there. The glitter will be applied using liquid latex, and peeling it off can be more bothersome if the area is hairy.
Please inform us beforehand if you have an allergy to latex or any other skin care products.
You may bring any coverings you would like. Models must wear at least thong underwear for sanitation reasons, but everything else is optional and up to you. We can glitterize underwear, bras, and pasties at no extra cost. There is no guarantee that body paint or glitter will come out of clothing, so please do not wear anything you can't get messy.
Prepare your expectations
The longest part of your shoot will actually be spent in makeup! Makeup, hair, and glitter will take 1-1.5 hours for a basic package. The photoshoot portion will only take about 10-15 minutes.
Sit back, and let us do the work
Prepare to be pampered! We will have food, drinks, and music in the studio for you to enjoy and satin robes available for your use. During your photoshoot you will be guided into poses by an experienced professional: no modeling experience necessary.
The mixture of body glitter we use keeps the glitter completely on your body, so it will not come off as you walk around, put clothes on, or drive home. The only thing that may come off of you is the body paint, which can stain clothing and other cloth surfaces. But if you order a style where the body paint is properly covered, the glitter is safe to wear as a costume, for a party, or for a night out! It will not come off until you take it off.
Different removal methods will work better for different skin types. We recommend removing the glitter and paint in the shower. Soak the area completely, apply generous amounts of soap or body wash, and gently rub or scrub the layers off with a loofa or exfoliating sponge. Please be aware that allowing too much glitter to go down your drain may cause it to clog. We recommend having a disposal bin nearby and disposing of sections of glitter in there.
If some body paint is still on your skin after showering, coconut oil can help remove it completely.
